Forgive

Remember here, how I talked about music and how much it meant to me and how a single song can mean so much and bring you back to moments in life?

This song popped up on my phone one day listening in the car.
While I wasn't cheated on, that I know of, I was still asked to forgive my ex-husband soon after I left and I remember just feeling dazed and couldn't believe he was asking such a question so soon.
It's all a blur to me these days.
So many emotions at once and so much happened.
I have no idea how I came out of those months alive, but I did and I'm better for it.

Here are the lyrics. They are powerful and intense.
I feel so much every time I listen to this song. I love it!!
It can be interpreted a few different ways, but it can still relate to so many situations!

When you think about forgiving someone, it's not condoning the behavior or saying it's OK that it happened, but it's giving peace to yourself to let that anger and resentment go.
Letting it be a lesson to move forward with instead of staying in the past of something you can't change and never really growing.

Rebecca Lynn Howard - Forgive

I always said that'd be it
That I wouldn't stick around if it ever came to this
Here I am, so confused
How am I supposed to leave when I can't even move?
In the time it would have took to say
"Honey I'm home, how was your day?"
You dropped the bomb right where we live
And just expect me to forgive

Well that's a mighty big word for such a small man
And I'm not sure I can
'Cause I don't even know now who I am
It's too soon for me to say forgive

I should ask but I won't
Was it love or just her touch?
'Cause I don't think I wanna know
So get you some things and get out
Don't call me for a day or two so I can sort this out
Well you might as well have ripped the life
Right out of me, right here tonight
And through the fallin' tears you said
"Can you ever just forgive?"

Well that's a mighty big word for such a small man
And I'm not sure I can
'Cause I don't even know now who I am
It's too soon for me to say, forgive
You know what they say
Forgive and forget
Relive and regret

Well that's a mighty big word for such a small man
And I'm not sure I can
'Cause I don't even know now who I am
It's too soon for me to say forgive
Oh, it's too soon for me to say forgive

I like this song a lot... even though it is an ugly struggle to forgive sometimes. You are a strong woman and forgiving your ex made you better because it set you free. Love you!!

Bugs Love Me

I kid you not.
Seriously.
Stop laughing!
Doesn't matter the species or whether it's a plain 'ole bug or a spider with a bazillion legs; they find me.
And they bite me!
and they LOVE me...
This is NOT a good quality to have.
And for someone who notices details and little creepy crawling things a lot?
Yeah, that just means i know they are around more than anyone else does!
It's kind of a curse!
And my body doesn't love them either.
I don't know if I've explained the weird things that have happened to me or not, but to give a short run around, I tend to get that "6% of the entire population" stuff...
I've had weird bumps, reactions, sicknesses, SHINGLES at the age of 26!...I have no words.

The best is that I'm allergic to mosquitos.
Those little buggers are just plain mean!!!
and because I'm a girl and shower daily and tend to wear, not only a ton of good smelling hair products, but lotions and sprays and detergent.... they love me even more…

Fun Facts For The Day

For icy door steps in freezing temperatures:  Get warm water and put
Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. They won't refreeze.  (Wish I had known this for the last 40 years!).

To remove old wax from a glass candle holder, put it in the freezer
for a few hours. Then take the candle holder out and turn it upside down. The wax will fall out.

Crayon marks on walls?  This worked wonderfully!  A damp rag, dipped
in baking soda. Comes off with little effort (elbow grease that is!).

Permanent marker on appliances/counter tops (like store receipt
BLUE!) rubbing alcohol on paper towel.

Whenever I purchase a box of S.O.S Pads, I immediately take a pair of
scissors and cut each pad into halves.  After years of having to throw away rusted and unused and smelly pads, I finally decided that this would be much more economical.  Now a box of S.O.S pads last me indefinitely! In fact, I have noticed that the scissors get 'sharpened'' this way!
Blood stains on clothes?  Not to worr…

Blind Date Madness

Warning: This is a long post!! lol But hopefully a little humorous for you :)

OK, so I don't think I've ever told you all about my dating experiences and for some reason, a situation poped in my head that still cracks me up and creeps me out, to this day.  First off, let me tell you that I never dated a whole lot.  There was a guy/best friend I dated on and off from middle school through high school.  I had couple boyfriends in there, but nothing serious.  I just didn't want to lead anyone on and get into something I knew wouldn't last.  Souds harsh, but it was obviously best for both parties involved! lol Plus, believe it or not, I  was UBER shy growing up.  True Story. So, college came and I met this guy at orientation. Good times, loved him to death, we because best friends, then sorta dated. Well, turns out he's got a girl back home.  Don't you just love guys like that? Obviously hadn't grown up just yet, I need to remember guys mature WAAAYYY slower than…
